Please enjoy this before and after on a solid walnut credenza from the 1960s. The original finish was nearly gone, so I went straight to sanding. First 100 grit, then 150, then 220. Next I shot it with several coats of Mohawk Ez Vinyl Sealer. No staining! Just the natural beauty of the wood. Hand sand between each coat with 220 grit sandpaper. Finish it off the several coats of Mohawk Pre-Cat Satin Lacquer. Not all refinishing is this straightforward, but this is a good baseline workflow. #refinishing #midcenturymodern #solidwalnut #midcenturyrefinishing

Sometimes a little oil goes a long way. This 50+ year old teak bowl was looking pretty damn dry, so I rubbed on some food grade mineral oil and now it GLOWS. #danishteak #danskbowl #teakbowl #danishmodern

Quality. Vintage furniture is a great investment- it’s much better quality than most furniture manufactured today. Most of our pieces are 50+ years old, and can last another 50+!

Character. Vintage furniture has character! If you’re looking to add some personality to your home, buying vintage furniture is great way to really show off your unique style.

Sustainability. Buying vintage furniture is better for the environment. We keep used furniture out of landfills by restoring it back to its original glory in our workshop. Feel good knowing that you’re reducing your carbon footprint and preserving a piece of history by buying vintage!
